New Seat Available on the Brackley Town Council

This summer, residents have the opportunity to join Brackley Town Council, with a single vacant seat available representing the West Ward.

No prior experience is required, but a strong understanding of Brackley and a passion for the local community are invaluable.

The successful applicant will join the Full Council, which consists of sixteen councillors, with four members representing each of Brackley's four wards.

The time commitment for councillors is relatively modest, with two meetings per month and a short summer recess during August.

Becoming a councillor is a rewarding way to give back to the local community, influence decisions and help shape the future of Brackley. While the role is not a significant time commitment, we are looking for individuals who are engaged, enthusiastic and passionate about the town.

Meetings are held at Brackley Town Hall. Full Council meetings take place on the first Monday of each month, while committee meetings are held on the third Monday. Committees focus on specific areas including finance, planning, council services, and biodiversity and the environment.

The successful candidate will receive training and support to help them understand and carry out their role effectively. 

Interested candidates will be invited to the Full Council meeting in September 2026.
