Brackley Charter Market is held on the Piazza outside the Town Hall every Friday from 7am to 2pm. The market's history dates back almost 1,000 years, with historical evidence suggesting it was already established by around the 1160s. It was formally granted in 1217 during the reign of King Henry III.

Although its form has changed over the years, the market remains a meeting place for local people and a great place to pick up fresh produce and other goods.

A varied selection of traders currently includes local produce, freshly baked goods, fresh fish, cheeses, butchers, dog treats, plants and flowers, fruit and vegetables, and hot traditional Indian snacks.

The market gets going early, with some traders arriving before 7am. Our fishmonger arrives from 8am, bringing fresh fish sourced from London earlier that morning.
