Fire Safety Notice

Posted in Residents' Information
Dark background with red border, white text reads 'Fire Safety Notice'.

With the current dry conditions, outdoor BBQs, fires and fireworks must not be used in public open spaces. We urge everyone to refrain from all outdoor fire risks for the foreseeable future.

Several fire-related incidents have been reported, including fires at St James Lake, fires in fields north of the Poppyfields estate, and fireworks being set off on the football pitches at Brackley Leisure Centre.

Open spaces with dry vegetation are at extremely high risk. Even a very small fire can spread rapidly and quickly get out of control, putting residents, wildlife and property in serious danger.

Please help protect our green spaces, wildlife and local community by speaking with children and teenagers to ensure they fully understand the situation.

Thank you for helping keep Brackley safe.
