West Northamptonshire Council has confirmed that a section of the A422 through Farthinghoe will be fully closed to through traffic for over five weeks while essential water mains and drainage works are carried out.

The closure affects the main route between Brackley and Banbury and is expected to cause significant disruption for motorists travelling between the two towns.

Residents and businesses located within the closure area between New Road and Chapel Lane will continue to have access. However, there will be no through route for other traffic.
