Brackley Charter Fair 10-12 September 2020
As you may be aware, centuries ago Brackley was granted a Royal Charter which amongst other things gives Showmen the right to hold an annual "Charter Fun Fair"
Given the charter was granted by Royal assent the only way the Fair could be prevented from attending is by act of Parliament.
Although we are in uncertain times the fair is legal and Brackley Town Council has been assured that all of the Government guidelines will be met regarding social distancing and track and trace.
We have been in discussion regarding this event with the Police, the Safety Advisory Group and Public Health who are all happy the event can be held safely. Brackley Town Council have no legal right to cancel this historic event.
We would like to remind our community how important it is to ensure you maintain the social distancing guidelines and stay alert when attending this or any other event.
