Please be aware that temporary road closures and parking restrictions will be in place in Brackley on Sunday 8 November for the annual Brackley Remembrance Service & Parade.

Please ensure any vehicles parked within the affected areas are removed before 09:00 on Sunday 8 November.

Road Closures

A full road closure will be in place from Buckingham Road to Banbury Road. The closure is expected to come into effect from 09:00 and remain in place for the duration of the parade and service, with normal traffic flow expected to resume by 16:30.

A rolling road closure will also be in place from Pebble Lane to Buckingham Road. This is expected to come into effect from 13:30 and will remain in place during the parade, with the road expected to reopen at 15:30.

Please plan your journeys accordingly and allow extra time for travel.

Parking Restrictions

Parking restrictions will be in place in the town centre car park, on the High Street between Banbury Road and Buckingham Road, and on the Town Hall slip road.

The High Street slip roads on both sides will not have parking restrictions. However, vehicles parked here will be within the road closure and will therefore be unable to move during the parade and service. Vehicles should be moved outside of the closure area if they need to be used between 09:00 and 16:30.

All vehicles in the highlighted areas must be removed by 09:00 on Sunday 8 November.

Additional temporary parking restrictions will also be in place along the High Street, between Winchester House School and Pebble Lane. These will come into effect later in the day to allow the parade to take place and will be lifted once the parade has concluded.

Blue Badge Parking

A section of the High Street slip road, adjacent to the public toilets, will be reserved for Blue Badge holders. Spaces are limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis.

We kindly ask that these spaces are kept for Blue Badge holders, particularly those with mobility issues who would struggle to attend the service without parking nearby.

If you arrive after 09:00, once the road closure is in place, and wish to park in the designated Blue Badge area, please show your Blue Badge to a member of staff, who will safely guide you to the parking location, providing there are spaces available.

Please help us spread the word about the upcoming closures, particularly to anyone who lives near, drives through or regularly parks in the affected areas. Please share this post and let friends and family know.
