Notice of full weekend road closures, A43 and Radstone Road, Brackley

When will these works take place?

A section of the A43 Southbound, towards Oxford, will be fully closed, 24-hours a day, from 8pm Friday 17 November to 6am Monday 20 November. Once our work is completed then from Monday 20 November there will be temporary diversion running alongside the existing southbound A43 for about a mile.

A section of the A43 Northbound, towards Northampton, will be fully closed, 24-hours a day, from 8pm Friday 1 December to 6am Monday 4 December. Once that work is completed then from Monday 4 December there will be temporary diversion running alongside the existing A43 northbound for about a mile.

A section of the Radstone Road, also known as Whitfield Road, Radstone will also be fully closed during the full weekend closure detailed above. There will be no access from the Radstone Road junction onto the A43.

As a contingency, should there be delays to our works, full weekend closures will take place on:

  • Southbound - 8pm Friday 8 December to 6am Monday 11 December
  • Northbound - 8pm Friday 15 December to 6am Monday 18 December

Where will the works take place?

The map below, shows the approximate closure area on the A43, between Turweston and Westbury. It also shows the temporary diversion for the Radstone Road, Radstone with further details on the following page. We understand there may be shorter diversions, but we are obligated to share a diversion with like for like roads.

In addition to this notice, the road closure information will also be communicated through traditional road signage as well as electronic signage. These signs will be located in strategic locations and placed in a safe location.



The map below, shows the approximate closure area on the Radstone Road, Radstone with the junction of the A43 northbound towards Towcester. The diversion will be signposted.
