Stand Up 4 Sitting Down
Standing Up 4 Sitting Down - #SU4SD
Brackley Town Council is supporting a country wide initiative to encourage local shops and businesses to provide a seat for those who just wish to take a break during their visits to local high streets.
Anchor, a not-for-profit provider of housing and care for older people is aiming to improve people's access to their local shops and high streets up and down the country. Many elderly people simply need to sit a while during their visit to town whilst shopping or visiting local services. By displaying a small sticker in the window of participating business premises, people will know that they can simply enter and sit a while before continuing on their way.
The Town Council office already has a sticker displayed and hopes that many other business premises within the town will participate in the scheme. You can register your business online by visiting https://www.anchor.org.uk/media-centre/campaigns/standing-up-4-sitting-down or call into the Town Council office at 9 Market Place for more information and to collect a window sticker for display.
