On Friday morning last week, our Brackley Town Councillors; Cllr Sue Sharps, Cllr Elaine Wiltshire, Cllr Scott Langford, Cllr Kate Nash and Cllr Luke Young helped organise a coffee morning in the Civic Hall to raise money for the ongoing Ukraine conflict. Unfortunately the Brackley Christmas Lantern Parade and Community Carol Service will not go ahead this weekend as planned in the town.
However, we have a Plan B!
We would hate for the effort and hard work that has gone into the lanterns to go to waste so we are asking families instead to light their lanterns on Sunday evening at 6pm inside gardens or outside front doors so they can still be lit 'together'.... Read More »

As you may be aware Brackley Town Council is organising the town's first Christmas Tractor Run on Sunday 12 December. This involves a "rolling" road closure in a number of areas of Brackley and closure of the section of Poppyfields Way from Orion Drive to Juno Crescent. Diversions will be in place via Orion Drive and Juliet Drive where required.

Due to the current weather warnings in place, we are extremely sorry to say that the Brackley Christmas Lantern Parade & Light Switch On will not go ahead this evening.
This decision has not been made lightly by the council but as the lantern parade involves so many families and young children, we have to put safety first.
