WEST NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNCIL (PUBLIC FOOTPATH VA15 (PART) - BRACKLEY)

(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along that length of Public Footpath VA15 (Part) in Brackley as specified below.  Private access to land or premises adjacent to the said length of footpath are unaffected.

RIGHT OF WAY TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: The existing route of VA15 to be closed begins at point A at National Grid Reference (‘NGR’) SP5764 3706. The route travels generally north east for approximately 104 metres to point B at NGR SP5774 3711.

The route is shown by a solid black line between points A – B.

REASONS FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during construction of a housing development.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The Order will come into effect on 28th February 2023 and will continue in force for a period of six months.  An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for this Order to be extended if this proves necessary.  However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such extent as is indicated by the display of notices.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: The alternative route will follow the route marked out on the ground.
