Poppy Stitching Sessions Coming Up Soon

Looking for a summer holiday activity with the kids? Why not help create a little piece of Brackley history and take part in the Brackley Poppy Project!
We're giving away free wool for residents to knit or crochet poppies at home over the summer holidays. Whether you make one poppy or a whole bouquet, every contribution helps. It's a fun activity for all ages and a chance to be part of the beautiful poppy cascades that decorate the Town Hall during our Remembrance Parade each November.
No experience is needed and there's no set style. If you need help getting started, we have patterns available when you collect your wool from the office. Alternatively, there are plenty of great tutorials, patterns and videos online to help inspire your creations.
Once your poppies are complete, you can either drop them off at the Brackley Town Council office or bring them along to one of our community stitching sessions. These sessions bring residents together to attach the handmade poppies to netting panels and begin building the spectacular cascades ready for November's Remembrance Parade.
If you'd like to take part but can't visit the office during opening hours, please give us a call or send us an email and we'll do our best to help.
