New Wave of Grant Applications Open for Brackley Businesses
The Brackley Town Centre Grants Scheme is returning for a third round, giving eligible independent businesses another opportunity to invest in their premises and services with financial support towards the cost.
Delivered by West Northamptonshire Council in partnership with Brackley Town Council, the scheme aims to support local businesses while helping to enhance the appearance and vitality of the town centre. Grants of up to £10,000 are available on a match-funded basis, making it easier for businesses to carry out improvements without covering the full cost themselves.
Funding can be used for a wide range of projects, including shopfront and exterior improvements, internal refurbishments, accessibility upgrades, essential equipment, and new products or services designed to attract more customers and increase footfall.
Businesses planning external works should complete West Northamptonshire Council's pre-application planning advice process, which is currently available free of charge to grant applicants, before submitting an application.
As Brackley town centre is located within a conservation area, some shopfront alterations and works to listed buildings may require planning permission or listed building consent. Completing the pre-application check early can help identify any requirements and avoid delays later in the process.
The scheme offers a valuable opportunity for independent town centre businesses to refresh their premises, improve customer experience and invest in future growth, while contributing to the continued success of Brackley's high street.
Applications for this round close on Monday 23 November 2026. However, if you miss the deadline, don't worry. The scheme will continue with further funding rounds, and eligible applications can be considered as part of the next wave in early 2027.
Businesses can register their interest by emailing the grants team, who will then provide eligibility information, an application form and guidance on the process.
If the business meets the eligibility criteria, West Northamptonshire Council will then send an application form along with a guidance pack explaining the process step by step.
