West Northamptonshire Council has launched an improved version of its mobile app, making it quicker and easier for residents to access a wide range of local services.

The updated app features a clearer, more user-friendly layout, helping residents find information and complete everyday tasks more easily. A redesigned home screen also provides faster access to the services people use most.

New features include an AI-powered recycling scanner, which allows residents to scan everyday items and receive instant guidance on how to dispose of them correctly. Users can also book recycling centre visits directly through the app, making it more convenient to plan trips and manage bookings.

The app also provides access to bin collection information, service updates and a range of other council services, all from one place. In response to customer feedback, a new dark mode has also been introduced to make the app more comfortable to use in low-light conditions.
