Free Wool Still Available

We still have plenty of free wool available for anyone who would like to take part in the Brackley Poppy Project. Whether you are new to knitting or crocheting, or have already contributed, there is still plenty of time to get involved and create some poppies.
The Poppy Project brings the community together to create poppies which will form cascading displays at the Town Hall each November. These displays serve as a symbol of remembrance and respect for those who lost their lives in conflict, with traditional red poppies alongside purple poppies to commemorate the animals that also served during wartime.
Once we have built up our collection of poppies, we will move on to phase two of the Poppy Project, with drop-in stitching sessions where we begin the task of attaching your wonderful creations to the netting to form the cascading displays.
These sessions will take place from Wednesday 26 August to Sunday 30 August at Brackley Town Hall. Times for each session will be confirmed closer to the time, but everyone is welcome to come along and stay for as long as they like!
A huge thank you to everyone who has taken part so far. The response has been fantastic, with residents already donating hundreds of beautiful poppies and generously giving their time, creativity, and support to help bring the project to life.
