Free Flowers!

Free flowers available to collect in the town centre!

It's that time of year again, so the Estates team have been hard at work this morning clearing the beds ready for winter planting.

With such excellent weather all summer, the flowers are still looking really healthy. However, we need to clear them now otherwise the poor winter plants won’t have time to bed in before the temperatures start to drop.

The team have left all the flowers on the grass verge near the town centre public toilets for residents to take home and enjoy.

It’s first come, first served, so please take what you like. We do ask that everyone considers those who can’t make it there straight away, so if you come down to collect your flowers bright and early, please leave some for those who arrive later in the day.

We’d love to see our high street flowers, which have kept our town looking so lovely all summer, get one last chance to brighten up the lives of our residents.
