Brackley Charter Fair Officially Opens

The Brackley Charter Fair is now officially open! Deputy Mayor Cllr Kate Nash met with Tommy Wilson to mark the occasion, with Tommy welcoming Cllr Nash and her consort behind the scenes to the ride controls.

The group shared stories of Brackley’s history and the Wilson family’s long-standing connection with the town and its Charter Fair, including the fascinating tale of the family’s historic connection to Brackley’s nobility.

Tommy then generously presented a cheque towards the Mayor’s chosen charities, Men in Sheds Brackley and SNYE, before offering Cllr Nash the chance to take the controls and start the first ride of the fair, much to her delight!

A huge thank you to Wilson’s Amusements for their generous donation to the Mayor’s charities and for continuing the long-standing tradition of the Charter Fair in Brackley.

The fair is open from 5.30pm today, Friday 11 September, and from 1.30pm on Saturday 12 September. We look forward to seeing you there, with candyfloss in hand, enjoying the bright lights, games and thrilling rides!
