Anglian Water Introduce Hosepipe Ban

Brackley residents are being advised that Anglian Water has introduced a hosepipe ban from Saturday 11 July, following weeks of hot, dry weather and exceptionally high water demand.
Restrictions
During the ban, hosepipes and items connected to them, such as pressure washers and sprinklers, must not be used for activities including:
- Watering gardens and plants
- Washing cars
- Cleaning patios, driveways, walls and windows
- Filling paddling pools, swimming pools and hot tubs
Essential water use for drinking, cooking, washing and hygiene is unaffected.
Who is affected..?
The hosepipe restrictions are aimed primarily at residential water use. Exemptions apply for operational and public service activities, including essential maintenance carried out by local authorities and certain businesses.
This is the first hosepipe ban introduced by Anglian Water since 2012 and affects customers across much of the East of England, including Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.
