WNC Relveals New Booking System for Recycling Centres

Posted in West Northamptonshire Council

West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) will be introducing a booking system for all six of its Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) later this year. The system will go live on Monday 3 November 2025, with bookings available from Monday 20 October 2025.

WNC says the new booking system is designed to prevent long queues during busy periods, such as bank holidays, while reducing disruption to nearby homes, businesses and local roads. It will also help ensure fair access for all West Northamptonshire residents.

How it will work:

  • Bookings can be made online 24/7 or by calling WNC’s customer service centre on 0300 126 7000 (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm).

  • Slots can be reserved up to two weeks in advance or on the same day, at least 30 minutes before arrival.

  • Only residents of West Northamptonshire will be eligible to book. Proof of address will be required.

Trade customers and people living outside the area can continue to use the paid-for small trade waste service at Sixfields and Ecton Lane but will not be able to book via the new system.

Bookings will not be required to visit the 'Re-use shops' at Sixfields and Farthinghoe HWRCs, whether donating items or browsing.

  • Goes live 3 November
  • Bookings open 20 October
  • Book online or via phone (Online booking form to be released closer to the time)

Further information, including site opening hours and e-permit requirements, is available on the West Northamptonshire Council website.
