What's On at the Brackley Christmas Market, Lights & Lanterns

Join us in the Market Square from 3pm this Saturday for the Brackley Christmas Market, Lights Switch On and Lantern Parade.

Our festive market will be filled with wonderful stalls offering a wide variety of Christmas gifts and treats. You can look forward to cakes, bakes, doughnuts and churros for anyone with a sweet tooth, as well as bratwurst, smash burgers, loaded fries and pulled pork wraps and tacos for those who prefer something savoury. A taste of what will be available, with plenty more stalls to explore throughout the market. There will also be a few places for grown ups to enjoy a drink. It is a Saturday after all!

Alongside the food, there will be a fantastic selection of gifts to help you start your Christmas shopping, including toys, clothes, chocolates, crafts, jewellery, ceramics and more. We will also have a number of brilliant community stalls offering activities such as raffles and tombolas.

Children can write their letter to Father Christmas at the 5th Brackley Scouts Elf Grotto, located inside Alexander and Co on the High Street.

Do not forget to explore the fantastic local businesses in town too. Several shops will be staying open late, so take a look around and see what festive offers they have in store.

A big thank you goes to Brackley Round Table for arranging a visit from Father Christmas himself to lead the parade. You can even meet real reindeer in the market.

Our very own Mayor, Cllr Bernie Tiller, will be DJing throughout the day with support from the team at local station 3B's Radio.

We are also lucky to have live performances throughout the day:

• I Sing I Dance I Act at 3.30pm
• Stagecoach at 4.00pm
• Glee Choir at 5.30pm
• Five Revive at 6.00pm

And of course, we have the Lantern Parade and Lights Switch On. The parade will begin gathering at Winchester House, Manor Road entrance, at 4.45pm. Led by Father Christmas, it will set off at 5.15pm. Once we have all arrived in town, the Brackley Christmas Lights will be switched on at 5.30pm.
