Upcoming Road Closures - July/August 2025

We’ve been informed of several upcoming road closures in and around Brackley. Please see the details and specific closure dates below.

A422: Farthinghoe - Middleton Cheney

West Northants Council, working with Kier Transportation will be carrying out carriageway resurfacing works. This work will include new asphalt surfacing, installing new anti-skid road markings and civils. The works will take place along the A422 between Farthinghoe to Middleton Cheney.

A422 MIDDLETON JULY 2025 - PRESS RELEASE

A422: Westbury

EKFB are building a new bridge and section of road across the HS2 line, re-routing underground services and making new utility connections. The works will take place on the A422 near Westbury.

A421: Mixbury - Finmere

This closure will be in place continuously in both directions between Mixbury and Finmere, as work is carried out to construct highway tie-ins that will connect the new sections of road and recently built bridges. You can find the full press release below.

A421 JULY 2025 - PRESS RELEASE

A4421: Finmere - Newton Purcell

This closure will remain in place continuously in both directions between Finmere and Newton Purcell, as work is carried out to construct highway tie-ins that will link the new sections of road with the newly built bridges. The full press release is available below.

A4421 JULY 2025 - PRESS RELEASE

Bridge Street: Churchill Way - Banbury Rd

This closure will be in place continuously in both directions between Churchill Way and Banbury Road. Unfortunately, we’ve only been given the closure dates so far, and specific times have not yet been confirmed. The closure is to allow for gas mains replacement work. More details are available below.

BRIDGE ST JULY 2025 - DETAILS

High Street: Pebble Ln - Church Rd

This closure will be in place continuously in both directions between Churchill Way and Banbury Road. Unfortunately, we’ve only been given the closure dates so far, and specific times have not yet been confirmed. The closure is to allow for Anglian Water Utility Repair and Maintenance Works. More details are available below.
