Last night the Town Council agreed a draft budget for 2018/19 which is now available for consultation.

Next year is a difficult one to plan for as so many changes are anticipated. The Town Council's accounts have been prepared for submission of the Annual Return to the External Auditor. Anyone interested has the right to inspect the accounting records for the financial year 2016-2017 until 31st July 2017. If you wish to view them, you can do so between 10.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday. Please contact our Finance Officer, Mrs Alison Moses, to make an appointment.

Council Audit Completed

Council Audit Completed

The Town Council's Auditors, BDO have completed their work for this year and issued the Conclusion of Audit notice. The Council is required to publish the first three sections of its Annual Return, which are attached. If any resident would like to view the Annual Return, or any of the supporting paperwork, please contact the Finance Officer, Alison Moses, to make an appointment.

Five Year Business Plan

With the town growing rapidly, and with a number of major projects to consider, the Town Council has for the first time prepared a draft Five Year Business Plan. We would welcome your comments on the plan, either by e-mail or in writing, by the end of November so that the Council can take your views into accounts when setting its budget for 2016-17.

Proposed budget for 2015-16

The Council's Finance and Policy Committee has agreed a budget proposal for 2015-16 based on a 3.96% increase (£4.19 per year for the average household). The Town Clerk would be pleased to receive your comments by Friday 12th December. Further details are contained in the next edition of Town Talk which will be delivered at the beginning of December.
