Community Speed Watch Results 2023

Community speed watch programmes are becoming increasingly popular in many areas, and for good reason. They offer a proactive solution to the problem of speeding in residential areas, allowing residents to take action to improve safety on their streets. 

Recently, a group of local volunteers in Brackley conducted a community speed watch programme, and the results are in! A total of 38 hours were spent overall slowing down traffic throughout the month that the volunteers held the equipment. Overall, a lot of positive comments were received by passers by. One common comment was to suggest another area for the volunteers to check (often one already being done) but this does show an overall awareness/concern about speeding in Brackley by the residents. 

By raising awareness of speeding in residential areas and encouraging drivers to slow down, we can all work together to make our communities safer places to live. Please see below results of the community speed watch:
