Brackley Charter Fair Officially Opens

The Brackley Charter Fair is now officially open! On the afternoon of Thursday 11 September, the Mayor of Brackley, Cllr Bernie Tiller, received a generous donation towards the Mayor’s charity, b Yourself, from Wilson’s Amusements. Tommy Wilson spoke about his family’s historic connections to Brackley before presenting the cheque to the Mayor.

He then invited the Mayor to try out the brand new and biggest ride at the fair, The Venom. Cllr Tiller, rising to the challenge, accepted and became the first in Brackley to experience the attraction. He was joined by Andy Green from Banbury FM, who later interviewed both Tommy Wilson and the Mayor about the occasion.

Tommy also highlighted how impressed he had been with the behaviour and politeness of Brackley’s children and young people at last year’s fair. It is a wonderful reputation for our town, so let us keep it going as we enjoy the thrilling rides, candyfloss and games over the coming evenings.
