Brackley Businesses to Benefit from New Grants

Independent businesses in Brackley can now benefit from a new grant scheme launched by West Northamptonshire Council, in partnership with Brackley Town Council.
The scheme supports small and medium-sized independent businesses in the town centre, helping them improve their premises and attract more customers. In the longer term, it aims to boost footfall, strengthen the local economy, and create a more welcoming and vibrant high street for everyone.
Businesses can apply for grants of up to £10,000, provided on a 50% match-fund basis. This means the grant covers half the cost, so a project costing £20,000 in total could receive £10,000 in funding, with the business contributing the rest. To be eligible, businesses must be independent and have a shopfront within Brackley town centre or high street.
Funding can be used for a variety of improvements, including:
- Shopfront and exterior upgrades
- Internal refurbishments or modernisation
- Accessibility improvements
- Essential equipment to support services
- Introducing new products or services to increase footfall
The closing date for this round of applications is 3pm on Thursday 30 April 2026. If you miss this date, funding is available in future quarterly rounds. Applications are discretionary and assessed by a grant panel made up of representatives from West Northamptonshire Council and Brackley Town Council.
All applicants should read the FAQs and review the full eligibility criteria and application guidance before applying.
