Brackley is a vibrant and growing town, on the border of South Northamptonshire, with services expanding to meet that growth. The impending changes to the local government structure within the county also present new and exciting challenges. The Town Council currently owns and manages the recently refurbished Grade II Listed Town Hall, the Old Fire Station and a brand new purpose built community and arts facility, Egerton Hall. It is also responsible for large areas of open space and a cemetery, maintained by an in-house team of grounds staff.
Under the general direction of the Operations Manager and Team Leader, a caretaker is required to open and close Brackley Town Council's venues for hirers as required both during the week, evenings and weekends. If weekends are worked, time till be given in lieu during the week. The caretaker will also liaise with regular hirers and the Venues Co-Ordinator as required. This is a new position for Brackley Town Council.
Managing the venues will be the first priority for this role but there will also be an element of grounds maintenance.
Applicants must hold a current driving licence and have a vehicle for use at work – mileage will be paid. They must also be capable of withstanding the physical demands of the job.
