Brackley Christmas Tractor Run

Brackley Christmas Tractor Run

JUSTGIVING LINK - DONATE TO THE FARM SAFETY FOUNDATION HERE

The Christmas Tractor Run in Brackley is an annual event that takes place on the second Sunday in December. This year will be our third Brackley Christmas Tractor Run and it is now very much a firm favourite in the BTC office events calendar.

Once more, we will be raising money for the charity Yellow Wellies, an award-winning charity that supports the physical and mental well being of UK farmers. In 2022, we raised £3,281.00. Incredible! But can we do even better this year, Brackley?

We hope to bring you between 50-100 tractors who will participate by decorating their tractors with lights, tinsel, and other Christmas decorations. Spectators gather along the route to watch the parade of tractors pass by – please give them a wave as they drive past!

We are asking all local farmers/residents who wish to enter their tractor into the run and decorate with fairy lights/festive decorations and do a loop of Brackley to help support this event. It is FREE to enter your tractor into the run. Tractors will have priority in the run, any other vehicles will be welcome space permitting.

Brackley Christmas Tractor Run will involve a "rolling" road closure in a number of areas in Brackley from 6pm on Sunday evening. The areas affected are Poppyfields Way, Humphries Drive, Pavillons Way, Banbury Road, High Street, Buckingham Road Junction, Burwell Hill and Northampton Road.  The roads will be closed for the shortest time possible to allow safe passage of the tractor convoy. If you live on Poppyfields Way or Banbury Road, please ensure vehicles are not causing any obstruction and if possible, park in designated parking areas or driveways where possible.

The route will leave Sainsbury’s, go up Poppyfields Way, past Egerton Hall, down Humphries Drive, onto Pavillion’s Way to turn on to the Banbury Road and back up the High Street.

The convoy will leave from Sainsbury’s car park at approximately 6pm. We would like to stress that NO residents will be allowed on the Sainsbury’s car park before and after the route starts. Due to the large convoy this year, safety is paramount and therefore the run will be delayed if residents do not abide by our health and safety guidelines. It will not be safe to leave if residents are roaming the area. 𝗧𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗯𝘂𝗿𝘆’𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀, 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮.

We would much prefer to spread yourselves around the run to give the drivers the best reception on all roads – please give them a wave when they go past! Thank you.
