HS2 Works Notification: Temporary road closures
Estimated Start Date: 01.10.21
Estimated End Date: 31.12.21
Work item details
As part of the continued preparatory works for the Radstone Road junction upgrade, they are planning a series of road works on the A43 northbound. To reduce disruption as much as possible, they will be jointly using previously anticipated closures for resurfacing works by National Highways.
The works will involve temporarily closing a section of the Radstone Road, Radstone (the section of road between Radstone and the A43), creating temporary narrowed lanes on the A43 northbound and constructing slip lanes at the Radstone Road junction with the A43 northbound. As the project progresses, utility works will also be necessary as well as the removal of vegetation to enable future works to continue.
A section of the Radstone Road, Radstone will be fully closed, 24 hours a day from October to the end of December 2021. There will be no access from the Radstone Road junction onto the A43.
The A43 northbound will be closed overnight, Sunday 31 October from 10.00pm to 6.00am, for temporary narrowed lanes to be installed. These narrowed lanes are expected to be removed in December 2021.
