It is with deep regret we announce the death of Donald G Cox, former Town Councillor and Mayor. He past away earlier this week in Northampton General Hospital, after being ill for some time.

In line with the RSPB and Defra guidelines, we will be starting hedge cutting around the town. Care will be given to ensure there are no birds nesting.
We are also starting work on Swift Way balance pond to remove an invasive, non-native weed that found its way into the pond - perhaps with the goldfish. We will also be clearing reeds and rushes as the pond is being choked with these. This work will... Read More »

Annually, Brackley Town Council considers requests for grants to assist organisations involved in delivering valued services to the local community. The council's grant application program for 2020/21 has now opened, and we will accept applications until 31 October 2019.

Brackley Town Council is pleased to announce that three members of the United States Visiting Forces in the United Kingdom have been chosen to participate in the Town Mayor's Cadet Programme. The airmen are attached to 422nd AGB at RAF Croughton and were chosen upon completion of a thorough interview process.

The local planning authorities in West Northamptonshire i.e. Daventry District, Northampton Borough and South Northamptonshire Councils with support from Northamptonshire County Council, have agreed to prepare a new Strategic Plan for the area. This will replace the West Northamptonshire Joint Core Strategy and will cover the period 2019-2041, although the Vision may look further ahead.

Launch of Summer Fire Safety Campaign
A campaign to highlight the grass fire risk posed during warm summer months has been launched by firefighters in Northamptonshire.
Last year Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS) attended 378 fires affecting grassland, woodland and crops in areas ranging from people's gardens to roadside vegetation and farmland.
