Brackley Receives Quality Council Status

The Town Council is very pleased to announce that it has been awarded Quality Council Status by the National Association of Local Councils. Mr Moody of Northants County Association of Local Councils presented the certificate at the Town Council's Annual Meeting on 9 th March 2009 and announced . Brackley has achieved a number of things with this award:  

•  The first council in Northamptonshire, and one of the first in the country, to gain accreditation under the "new rules."

•  The first town council in South Northants to receive the award.

•  The second largest council in Northamptonshire (after Daventry) to achieve Quality status

Congratulations to the Mayor, Town Clerk and to all the councillors.

By achieving Quality Status the Town Council has demonstrate to the adjudicating panel that it is effectively and properly managed, upholds high standards of conduct, is committed to work in partnership with principal local authorities and other public service agencies. The Town Council acts as an information point for local services and aims to work closely with voluntary groups in the community.
