I moved with my young family to Hinton-in-the-Hedges at the beginning of the 1970's and moved to Brackley in 1992. I work locally in the town itself part time two or three days a week. My daughter also lives in Brackley, working in one of the junior schools, with 3 of my 5 grandchildren which all helps to keep me in touch with the younger generations.
I was secretary of the Brackley Players for several years, going back to the days when their 'wardrobe' and props were stored in the top rooms of the Town Hall. When these had to be moved, it began a lengthy series of discussions with the Arts & Leisure department of SNC looking for an alternative Arts Centre venue, culminating in plans to apply for a Lottery grant.
For the last two years I have been part of the Brackley Music Festival committee, where I have met up with such a wide cross section of the town's community.
