Chris Cartmell is an "Engineer" by trade and has worked in After Sales for a European Vehicle Manufacturer, based in Milton Keynes, for the past 30+ years.

Moved to Brackley in 1979, joined the Town Council in 1991. Was Town Mayor in 1997/98.

Has served on the Governing Bodies of both Southfield Primary School and Magdalen College School. Other interests in the town include, the Rugby Club, European Association (Town Twinning) and the Allotment Association.

Together with Jane his wife (who works at Southfield School), they have brought up a family in the town and are all too aware of the various shortfalls in infrastructure which beset us in a small market town buried away in the far south of the county.

Has a strong belief that Brackley Town Council remains non-political in the main; in that everything the Council does should be for the good of everyone in the town and surrounding area.
